Attach a HEIC photo as a PDF
Use PDF when a submission portal accepts documents but rejects HEIC. Each input photo becomes its own single-page PDF; a batch is downloaded as a ZIP, not merged into one document.
Try a still HEIC before converting your photos
Try it and check the result
- Add the HEIC photos and select PDF for the rows you need.
- Convert and download the individual PDFs or batch ZIP.
- Open each PDF and check its orientation, page count and file size against the destination requirements.
What changes in the output
- PDF pages follow the source pixel proportions; this is not a fixed A4 page layout.
- An opaque photo is embedded as quality-92 JPG. PDF output is not necessarily lossless or smaller than the HEIC.
- The result is a picture inside a PDF, with no OCR or searchable text.
If the result looks wrong
If you need one multi-page document, combine the downloaded PDFs in a document tool. Do not expect Download ZIP to merge their pages.

HEIC to PDF FAQ
How do I convert HEIC to PDF?
Drop your HEIC file into the tool above, then download the PDF. Everything runs in your browser - your image is never uploaded to a server.
Is converting HEIC to PDF free?
Yes. No signup or watermark is required. Batch size is limited by your device memory, and images above 40 million pixels are rejected.
Will I lose quality converting HEIC to PDF?
The page carries a quality-92 JPEG, or a lossless PNG when the source has transparency.
What is the difference between HEIC and PDF?
Wrap an iPhone HEIC photo in a single-page PDF ready to print or email. A single page sized to the image, ready to print or attach.
Does converting HEIC to PDF need a plugin or an install?
No. PDF needs no compression library - it is assembled from the decoded pixels by a small built-in writer built on pdf-lib. Reading HEIC also happens locally, through libheif.
Is transparency kept in the PDF?
Transparent images are embedded as PNG in the PDF; opaque images use quality-92 JPG. A PDF viewer may display a white page behind transparent areas.
Is EXIF and GPS data kept in the PDF?
No. Conversion goes through raw pixels, so EXIF, GPS coordinates, IPTC and XMP are all dropped. That is usually what you want before sharing a photo - but if you need to keep the format and only remove metadata, use the Metadata Remover instead.
