What changes in the output
- The result is a still JPG, not a Live Photo video or an archive of all images in a HEIC container.
- EXIF, GPS, IPTC and XMP are not copied to the output. Keep the original if you need capture details.
- The JPG is usually larger than the HEIC it came from. This converter writes JPG at a fixed 92% quality, and the 800 × 800 test file grew from 64 KB to about 105 KB.
- JPG is lossy. Pixel dimensions alone do not prove that every detail or the original HDR/color appearance has been preserved.
If the result looks wrong
If decoding fails, try a different still photo or export a compatible copy from the source device. Unsupported HEIC variants and Live Photo containers can fail. Images above 40 million pixels are rejected by this converter; try a smaller source rather than repeatedly uploading the same file.
